How does a mechanic diagnose the P2195 code? The engine may be running rough, rich, and misfiring. The Check Engine Light will be illuminated and the code is set in ECM memory as a fault. The engine control module is getting a signal from the bank 1 sensor 1 it is overly rich in that side of the engine and has tried to lean the mixture out to its limit causing the code to be set. The engine has tried to lean out a rich condition and failed.
